Waitaha School is a state-funded specialist school for school students with special needs aged 5 – 21 years. Te Tupu Harakeke is the Waitaha School satellite at Knights Stream School. In addition to the satellite spaces, Waitaha has a base school located in Rolleston, and includes a Community Hub that operates as part of a Waitech programme for young people transitioning to the community. Waitaha School has input from a range of specialists employed directly by the school including speech-language therapists, occupational therapists, and a physiotherapist.
