Youthtown is a nationally operated, not for profit organisation delivering programmes that develop skills and knowledge, to as many 5-18 year olds as we can. Youthtown offers a breakfast club and an after school programme exclusively for students attending Knights Stream and their siblings. Breakfast club runs from 7am until the start of school and after school programme is from the end of school until 6pm. We operate from Knights Stream School.

If you would like to enrol please visit the Youthtown website or call the office for assistance on 03 381 3245 or 0800 004 566 or 027 605 2472 or email:

A variety of activity plans are created that correspond to weekly themes during the term and daily themes during the holidays.

Weekly theme examples:

  • World Friendship Week

  • Conservation Week
  • Fantasy and Magic Week
  • Around the World in 5 Days
Full List

Our staff may choose what activity plans to use from our National Kete to fit the needs of their participants. Each themed week has enough activity plans to go for the full 5 days plus more.
They cover 6 main categories:

  • Creative Arts
  • Life Skills
  • Outdoors & Environment
  • Science & Technology
  • Sport
  • Wellbeing

During the holidays we operate the same with our in-house activities, instead of weekly themes we have daily themes. For example:

  • Winter vibes
  • Celebrity Lookalike
  • Eco-mindsteins
  • Get Your Craft On
  • Blow Out!
